About 30 kids and their families showed up at Cherokee Marsh for the evening hike on April 9, 2022. We were able to see red-winged blackbirds, mallards, sandhill cranes and woodcock. A highlight of the trip included spotting an old hornet’s nest hanging from a tree. Special thanks to Paul Noldner for bringing along binoculars and kid friendly devices that allowed kids to magnify the sounds of the marsh. Everyone had a great time and mother nature cooperated by providing pleasant temperatures.
