On July 6, Get Kids Outside hosted a group of 30 kids from the Taft location of the Boys and Girls Clubs at Cherokee Marsh for an exploration of the wetland. Kids went on a scavenger hunt and explored pond life at several different locations. A few comments we heard were:
“I don’t want to leave.”
“I want to see more water.”
The kids saw lots of wildflowers, snails, dragonfly larvae, cattails and lots more. We are grateful that the weather cooperated and that we were able to get out.
